About the role

Glask Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounts Officer to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position based at our Perth office located in the 6000 postcode area. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation by managing day-to-day accounting operations, processing transactions, and supporting the broader finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records and contributing to the smooth operation of our accounting department, which is essential to our continued business success.

Key responsibilities

- Processing and recording financial transactions including invoices, expenses, and payments

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers

- Preparing financial documents and statements for review by senior staff

- Reconciling bank statements and identifying any discrepancies

- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

- Supporting the preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports

- Filing and organising financial documentation in compliance with company procedures

- Liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding financial enquiries

- Assisting with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation

- Supporting payroll processing and related administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

- Completed qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial discipline

- Proven experience working as an Accounts Officer, accounting clerk, or similar finance role

- Strong proficiency with accounting software (XERO) and Microsoft Office applications

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping





- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members

- Knowledge of GST compliance and tax-related accounting procedures

- Experience with construction industry accounting is advantageous but not essential

- Reliable, professional demeanour with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
