Job Description AUTO ELECTRICIAN - Cowal About The Role Redpath is seeking an experienced

Auto Electrician

to join our underground mining maintenance team on a major gold project.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the

electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repair

of a contemporary fleet of

Sandvik underground mining equipment , helping keep our operation safe, reliable and productive.

You’ll work alongside a highly skilled maintenance team in a safety-focused environment, with exposure to a well-maintained fleet of modern underground equipment.

Our Fleet Includes

Sandvik development drills

Sandvik production drills

Sandvik loaders (LHDs)

Sandvik underground trucks

Auxiliary underground support equipment

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on Sandvik underground equipment

Perform preventative, planned and scheduled maintenance

Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults

Identify and resolve faults efficiently to maximise equipment availability

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site, OEM and Redpath standards

Complete accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation





Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support safe and efficient operations

Contribute to a positive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement

Qualifications ABOUT YOU We’re looking for an experienced Auto Electrician who takes pride in their work and is committed to safe, high-quality maintenance.

You Will Require The Following Skills And Qualifications

Australian recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification

Experience working on underground mining equipment

Previous experience with Sandvik equipment highly regarded

Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills

A solid understanding of underground mining electrical systems

A strong commitment to safety, procedures and quality workmanship

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Previous underground mining or heavy industrial experience preferred
