The SEO and GEO Specialist is responsible for owning and delivering the organic search and AI search optimisation strategy across Steelx's portfolio of in-house brands. This is a hands-on, mid-to-senior-level role requiring a strong combination of technical SEO expertise, strategic thinking and exceptional content writing skills. The successful candidate will take ownership of SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), driving organic visibility, qualified traffic and lead generation across multiple websites.

Key responsibilities

Own and execute SEO and GEO strategies across all Steelx brands to improve organic visibility, traffic and lead generation

Identify growth opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis and emerging search trends

Develop strategies to improve brand visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms

Conduct technical SEO audits, identify issues and implement improvements across all brand websites

Manage on-page and technical SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals and internal linking

Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to implement SEO best practices

Write, edit and optimise high-quality website content aligned with search intent and commercial objectives

Manage link acquisition, digital outreach and local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimisation

Monitor and report on SEO and GEO performance, including organic traffic, search visibility, enquiries and conversions

About you





Proven mid-to-senior-level SEO experience, with the ability to independently manage strategy and hands-on implementation across multiple websites

Advanced technical SEO knowledge and a strong understanding of GEO and AI-powered search

Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with experience producing SEO-optimised website content

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies

GA4 certification and proficiency in Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools

Demonstrated experience in local SEO, Google Business Profile optimisation and link acquisition

Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple brands and competing priorities

Ability to work well with all other employees to attain reliable information and achieve outcomes

Ability to maintain good judgement and confidentiality

Ability to represent the best interests of the Steelx group to a high standard
