We work closely with individuals and businesses to provide reliable financial reporting, bookkeeping, payroll and compliance solutions, including cloud accounting software implementation and training, Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting, and Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and lodging. General Accountant to join their team to support growth and operations of the business. Location: 304/685 Burke Road Camberwell, VIC 3124 Salary: $79,423 - $85,000 Hours: Full Time

This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute and learn within a supportive and driven team Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide professional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a portfolio of individual and business clients.

Prepare financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and legislative requirements

Prepare and review income tax returns and related tax compliance requirements for individuals, companies, trusts,



partnerships and other entities

Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and other statutory and taxation-related lodgements

Assist clients with tax planning and provide practical taxation advice based on their individual circumstances and business objectives

Assist clients with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, financial planning and analysis to support business decision-making

Review and maintain clients’ accounting records and general ledgers, including reconciliations and other accounting functions as required

Identify financial, taxation and compliance issues and provide appropriate advice and recommendations to clients

Maintain strong working relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their businesses, financial objectives and ongoing needs

Ensure all client work is completed accurately, efficiently and withing required deadlines

Maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgement when dealing with sensitive client financial and commercial information

Provide general accounting, taxation and business advisory support to clients and other team members as required

Essential Criteria:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 1 year of previous experience in an accounting or finance related role;

Strong IT skills and proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems;

Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
