Job Description

Make a real difference in the Port Lincoln community by managing commercial and domestic property claims from first advice through to final settlement – with autonomy, variety and strong team support. The Opportunity As an External Claims Adjuster with Crawford, you’ll manage a diverse regional portfolio, combining technical property knowledge, investigation, problem-solving and customer service. You’ll be responsible for: Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement Inspecting damage, investigating cause and assessing the extent of loss Reviewing policies, claim documentation and evidence to determine coverage Coordinating trades, service providers and technical specialists Setting reserves, managing costs and making settlement recommendations Preparing clear, qualified reports and maintaining accurate claim records Delivering strong customer outcomes while meeting compliance, KPI and service standards You’ll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being backed by an experienced, high-performing team. What You’ll Bring Experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction, trades or a related field Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate claim documentation Australian/New Zealand work rights and ability to complete a police check Loss adjusting experience or relevant professional qualifications Knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and policy conditions Understanding of basic business accounting procedures CILA membership or willingness to undertake further study
