- Strong capability in detailed part/component design, including tolerance stack‑ups and custom part development (not just catalogue selection).
- Creative problem‑solving skills and out‑of‑the‑box thinking to develop innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in developing 2D manufacturing drawings using PTC Creo, with knowledge of GD&T; highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques, and how they influence design decisions.
- Proven experience in new product development, from conceptual design through to production release.
- A proactive approach to mentoring and supporting junior engineers, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to share ideas, solve problems, and build productive relationships.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance in all aspects of your work.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and consistently deliver results within agreed timeframes.
- A passion for innovation and staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
