Senior Project Manager - Data & Microsoft Fabric

$943.99 per day + super

We are partnering with a NSW Government organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic data transformation initiative.

This role will be responsible for managing the implementation of a up-to-date data and analytics platform leveraging Microsoft Fabric , ensuring successful delivery across technology, business, governance and stakeholder workstreams.

Working within a complex enterprise environment, you will engage with senior stakeholders, technical delivery teams, architects, vendors and business units to deliver a high-profile program that will enhance data accessibility, reporting and decision-making capabilities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a Microsoft Fabric implementation.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Establish and maintain project governance, reporting and steering committee updates.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, data, architecture and vendor resources.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and communication across all levels of the organisation.
- Manage the delivery of data migration, integration, reporting and analytics workstreams.
- Ensure project outcomes are delivered in line with agreed timelines and quality standards.




- Facilitate workshops and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Experience

- Proven experience delivering complex data, analytics, business intelligence or enterprise data platform projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving Microsoft Fabric .
- Strong understanding of modern data and reporting environments.
- Previous experience working within NSW Government .
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong project governance, financial management and reporting experience.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a complex organisational environment.

Desirable

- Experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics or related Microsoft technologies.
- Formal project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or Agile certifications.
- Experience delivering enterprise reporting, data warehousing or data migration initiatives.
