HAUS (of) CHAIN

Melbourne

At Haus of Chain, we approach recruitment differently. Built inside a full-service digital agency, we place marketing and e-commerce talent based on what they can actually do, not how polished their CV looks.

We're partnering with a proudly independent Australian jewellery brand with a loyal global following. Their female-led Melbourne team creates handcrafted pieces from ethically sourced materials, designed to be worn, loved and passed down.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As E-Commerce Specialist, you’ll keep the online store running exactly as it should across every global market. Products, pricing, inventory, collections, promotions - if it lives on the site, you’ll make sure it’s right.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll sit at the centre of how the brand trades online. You’ll work closely with the marketing, content, production, customer service and retail teams to get new products ready for launch and set up sales and promotions accurately. A big part of the job is working with data at volume, so you’ll spend a lot of your time in Shopify, spreadsheets and CSV files.

It’s hands-on and varied, with real room to grow your skills across the full e-commerce mix.

Key responsibilities

- Manage individual and bulk product uploads in Shopify, keeping product data, pricing and inventory accurate across all markets
- Prepare and validate CSV files and spreadsheets for large-scale product and pricing changes
- Set up sales, promotions and product launches, with pre-launch and post-launch checks to make sure everything is correct
- Run regular audits of the site to catch broken links, missing imagery and pricing errors
- Build and maintain collections and landing pages, and manage online merchandising

- Write and proofread on-brand product copy using on-page SEO best practices
- Support A/B testing and e-commerce reporting

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Launches and product drops go live on schedule with every price, image and variant correct. Sales start and finish exactly when they should, with discounts landing on the right products in every market.

Your regular audits catch broken links, missing imagery and pricing errors before a customer ever does. The catalogue stays clean, consistent and easy to shop. Over time, your SEO work and testing insights start showing up in how the site performs.

ABOUT YOU

You're the person who checks, then double and triple checks because you don't assume something is right, and catching an inconsistency before it becomes a problem gives you a quiet sense of satisfaction.

You'll have 3 or so years of experience working in an e-commerce role, ideally with a product-led retail or DTC brand. You're confident in Shopify (Shopify Plus is a bonus) and at home in spreadsheets and CSVs at scale. You have a sharp eye for copy and proofreading, a working knowledge of on-page SEO and a genuine interest in testing and data.

You also have experience across multiple markets and currencies, which will help you hit the ground running.

LIFE ON THE TEAM

This is a warm, cooperative team that cares about craftsmanship, authenticity and doing things properly. You'll work closely with studio, retail, content and global teams in a creative Melbourne studio.

READY TO APPLY?

Send your CV and a short note on why this role is yours. If you've got an example of a catalogue clean-up, a launch you've built or an audit you've run, include it. A screenshot, a spreadsheet, a quick write-up. Whatever shows how you think!
