Partner Manager
We’re signing and launching rewards partners faster than ever, and everyone comes with a promise: more businesses, more payments and more value on both sides.
Here’s the catch: right now, we’re signing partners faster than we can grow them. Without a dedicated owner after launch, partnerships drift, go quiet or hang on a single contact. That’s the opportunity, and it’s yours. As our Partner Manager,
you’ll take a live portfolio of partners and turn that promise into results, growing referrals, activated businesses, payment volume and revenue year on year. It’s work that shows up directly in our growth, and you’ll be able to point to the partners who did more because you managed them.
We won’t pretend it’s tidy: some partners will be dormant on day one, the data won’t always be clean, and you’ll get things done through other teams without a reporting line. The direction is clear; the how is yours to solve, partner by partner.
Responsibilities
- Own the relationship: take over a portfolio of live partners after launch, build relationships from frontline teams to executive sponsors, and run a consistent cadence of monthly check-ins, QBRs and annual partnership reviews.
- Grow every partnership: build a joint business plan for each partner with targets for referrals, activated businesses, payment volume and revenue, then find expansion through new segments, products and deeper integrations, moving referral partners up to co-marketing and embedded models.
- Drive activation: team up with Marketing on co-marketing campaigns, EDMs, content and events in each partner’s customer base, and bring ideas to partners before they ask.
- Track performance and health: own the partner scorecard, build a health score that flags at-risk partners early, run reactivation plans and keep the CRM clean for forecast reviews.
- Manage the commercials: own post-signing obligations (SLAs, reporting, renewals, variations), lead renewal, tier and scope conversations, and reconcile revenue share, commission and incentives with Finance.
- Fix fast and close the loop: be the escalation point inside pay.com.au, pulling in Product, Operations, Risk,
Finance and Legal to solve partner issues, and feed product requests, integration issues and competitive intel back into the business.
About You
- Proven partner growth: 2+ years in partner management, channel sales, or account management, ideally in fintech, payments or SaaS, with a track record of growing an existing portfolio, not just signing new partners.
- Commercially sharp: comfortable with revenue share models, partnership P&Ls; and renewal negotiations, and you know when a partnership needs more investment or a reset.
- Relationships at every level: credible from a partner’s sales floor to their C-suite, and able to get things done through Product, Operations, Finance and Legal without a reporting line.
- Data-led and organised: you live in a CRM, can build a report, spot a trend and turn it into a partner conversation, and stay disciplined across many partners, plans and QBRs at once. You’re also happy to travel domestically for partner meetings and events.
- Bonus, not a requirement: a background in loyalty, rewards, travel or airline programs (if you know the difference between a transfer partner and a co-brand, we’ll notice), embedded finance or platform partnerships, an existing network across banking, payroll, accounting or industry associations, or experience with Salesforce, a PRM or Crossbeam.
We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that's okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make an impact, we’re keen to hear from you.
A few more things...
Successful candidates joining the team will need to complete a National Police Record Check.
Candidates who require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process are encouraged to let us know. We’re happy to support you.
We’re committed to an inclusive and diverse recruitment process where everyone feels respected and supported. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities and abilities and ensure fair, equitable consideration at every stage.
