About The Opportunity
As a Product Designer, you will step into a newly created role, responsible for shaping and delivering end-to-end product experiences that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes.
Role
This isn’t your traditional UX/UI role focused on interface design. The role operates at the intersection of customer, business and technology, partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineering to define what we build, why we build it and how it performs in market. You will play a critical role in:
- Designing intuitive, engaging and commercially effective customer experiences across our mobile app, customer portals, activation journeys and digital self-service platforms, with a strong focus on mobile-first design.
- Establishing consistent design standards, workflows and ways of working across our digital products.
- Driving continuous improvement through data, insights, experimentation and testing.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Product Strategy & Problem Definition
- Partner with Product Managers and the wider business to support product priorities and define customer problems, needs and opportunities.
- Apply customer and data-driven insights to influence what gets built and contribute to trade-off decisions across value, effort and impact.
End-to-End Product Design Ownership
- Own the full design lifecycle from discovery through to post-launch optimisation, designing holistic experiences across web,
app and service journeys.
- Review end-to-end customer flows and interactions, ensuring alignment between customer experience, product intent and business goals.
Data-Driven Design & Experimentation
- Use data, analytics and customer insights to inform decisions and design experiments including A/B testing, personalisation and optimisation.
- Continuously iterate based on performance metrics and feedback, measuring success through conversion, engagement, retention and revenue impact.
Cross-Functional Product Leadership
- Operate as a core partner across Product, Engineering and Design, collaborating on strategy, prioritisation, feasibility and delivery.
- Work closely with CX and Marketing and lead design decisions that balance customer, technical and commercial needs.
Commercial & Customer Impact
- Design experiences that directly influence customer acquisition, conversion, engagement and retention.
- Understand and apply key business drivers, including growth, ARPU, churn reduction, revenue and customer lifetime value, when shaping product experiences.
Design Excellence & System Evolution
- Create high-quality user journeys, interaction models and UI designs, while evolving design systems to improve consistency, accessibility, quality and efficient product delivery.
- Incorporate AI tools into the design process to accelerate research, synthesis, prototyping and iteration.
About You
We don’t expect you to tick every box but we’re looking for someone with a strong foundation across several of the following skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in product design, ideally within digital product environments, with hands-on experience across mobile app and responsive web design.
- Strong experience across the end-to-end product design lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping through to post-launch optimisation.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools to support and speed up research, design and iteration. Claude Design experience is highly desirable.
- Strong product thinking, balancing customer desirability, technical feasibility and commercial viability.
- Experience with data, experimentation and performance-led design, translating customer insights into product opportunities and improvements.
- Experience working in cross-functional Product and Engineering teams,
with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Key Focus Areas In Your First Few Months
You’ll focus on building context, establishing strong relationships and delivering early impact. Your priorities will include:
- Building strong relationships across Product, Engineering and key stakeholders, while developing an understanding of our products, customer journeys and priorities.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the digital customer experience, particularly across mobile and customer self-service journeys.
- Helping shape and establish Product Design principles within the Product team, bringing a strong design perspective to existing ways of working.
What We Offer
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements that support work-life balance, wellbeing, and collaboration.
- 14 weeks paid parental leave in line with our parental leave policy.
- Free internet and mobile plan.
- An additional day of paid leave to celebrate your birthday, plus a gift voucher.
- Free access to confidential counselling and 24/7 wellbeing support through our EAP.
- A collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
- Supportive leaders and teams that value initiative, accountability, and success.
