RCK Design Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Draftsperson to join our growing design team in Bella Vista, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. As a Draftsperson, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs, construction drawings, plans, elevations and specifications that form the foundation of successful building projects. Your work will directly impact the quality and clarity of communication between designers, engineers, contractors and clients, making this a pivotal position within our practice.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare accurate and detailed designs and architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Convert architectural sketches and design concepts into a functional 3D model in Revit
- Maintain consistency with architectural standards, building codes and project specifications across all documentation
- Update and revise drawings in response to design changes, client feedback and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with council, certifiers and external engineering consultants to progress certain projects
- Manage drawing files, families and templates, and maintain organised project documentation systems within Revit
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Council Controls/CDC Requirements and NCC/Australian building standards.

What we're looking for

- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, engineering documentation and surveys
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings
- Knowledge of Australian Building Codes and planning requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects whilst meeting tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with council, certifiers, consultants and clients




- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to identify and resolve drawing conflicts or technical issues
- Minimum 3 years' experience working for a NSW building design, drafting or architectural practice on residential projects.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous drafting work is welcomed

Additional requirements

- Full Australian working rights
- Qualification in Building Design and Drafting obtained in Australia
- Experience preparing documentation for NSW residential projects
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to attend site inspections and meetings as required
