Australian Ground Technologies (AGT) is looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join its growing team. AGT delivers ground engineering and ground retention solutions for civil, rail, tunnelling and infrastructure projects.

If you’re a recent graduate or early-career engineer keen to develop your skills and see your work take shape on site, this is a outstanding opportunity to build your experience across retaining wall design, geotechnical engineering and project delivery.

About the role

You’ll work alongside AGT’s engineering and construction teams on projects across Sydney. From design and planning through to time on site, you’ll gain practical experience and see how projects move from an initial concept to completion.

With support from experienced colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your technical skills and contribute to a variety of projects.

You’ll contribute to:

* Developing retaining wall designs, estimates and engineering calculations

* Reviewing drawings and project information

* Visiting sites to assist with set-out, inspections and progress checks

* Using PLAXIS for geotechnical modelling and analysis

* Working through design questions and practical challenges with the project team

* Preparing project and quality documentation





* Coordinating with colleagues, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers

About you

You’re a recent Civil Engineering graduate or an early-career engineer with up to three years’ experience. You’re curious, practical and keen to learn how engineering works in the field.

You’ll also have:

* An interest in retaining walls and geotechnical engineering

* Good problem-solving and communication skills

* Care and attention to detail

* The ability to work well with others and take responsibility for your work

* A current Australian driver’s licence and White Card

Experience with PLAXIS, retaining wall design or civil construction would be helpful, but you don’t need to have done it all before. AGT will support you to build your experience.
