Role Description The Senior Flooring Salesperson is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Adelaide Area, responsible for leading sales activities in the showroom and supporting junior sales team members. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, assessing their flooring needs, providing product advice, and preparing quotations and sales orders. The role involves conducting on-site measure and quote visits, coordinating with installers, and ensuring that customers receive accurate information on product care, warranties, and timelines. The Senior Flooring Salesperson will monitor stock and display quality, follow up on leads, manage ongoing customer communication,



and help resolve issues promptly. This position also contributes to sales targets, trains and mentors team members, and supports store management in planning promotions and improving sales processes.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and customer service skills, with experience in retail or flooring products.
- Ability to assess customer needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and close sales confidently.
- Competence in preparing quotes, managing orders, and using point-of-sale or CRM systems.
- Solid knowledge of carpet, timber, vinyl, and other flooring materials, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Attention to detail when measuring spaces, interpreting floor plans, and coordinating installations.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a showroom workplace, including some weekend or extended hours as needed.
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license for customer site visits and measure-and-quote appointments.
- Previous experience in the flooring or home improvement sector is a strong advantage.
