Bairnsdale Secondary College is in the township of Bairnsdale, approximately 300 kilometres east of Melbourne's CBDandis sited on GunaiKurnai land.
The College's projected enrolment for 2027 is approximately 1,300 students, drawing from Bairnsdale and surrounding East Gippsland communities. Students attend the College from a wide geographic area. While some live within close proximity to the College, others travel from rural and remote communities, with some students commuting up to 1.5 hours each way by road. This reflects the College's extensive rural catchment area and its role as a key secondary education provider across the region. Bairnsdale Secondary College has much to celebrate when we reflect on the past few years. The dedication, resilience and qualified commitment of all staff and students to continue to push forward, has really been remarkable.
