- Residential Role | Industrial Processing Operations An established engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to support a major operating industrial facility. This is a site-based contract role offering the opportunity to work across sustaining capital projects, shutdowns, brownfield upgrades and improvement initiatives. You will play a hands‑on role in the delivery of electrical and instrumentation design packages, working closely with engineering, operations and project teams from concept development through to construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities
- Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation design deliverables across a portfolio of projects.
- Develop practical, fit‑for‑purpose design solutions that consider safety, operability, maintainability and constructability.
- Prepare and review design documentation including drawings, layouts and technical deliverables.
- Support project execution from concept design through to commissioning and as‑built documentation.
- Participate in project reviews, design workshops and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Identify technical issues and contribute to the development of effective engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, process, structural and control systems disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Australian standards, project requirements and internal design procedures.
- Support project planning activities including estimates, schedules, forecasts and reporting where required.

- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent design qualification.
- Electrical trade background highly regarded.
- Electrical licence advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I;) design within industrial, mining, resources, manufacturing or heavy process environments.
- Strong understanding of project delivery from study and design phases through to construction and commissioning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. Technical experience Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following: Design software
