We are looking for a proven recruiter - not an order taker.

My Australian Career is expanding its recruitment division and we are looking for an experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant who knows how to build a desk, win business and deliver placements.

This role is for someone who genuinely understands recruitment.

Someone who can identify opportunities, pick up the phone, open doors, build trusted relationships with employers, take a proper job brief, find strong candidates and drive the process all the way through to placement.

You will not be joining a business where you are simply handed vacancies and expected to work through them.

We want someone commercially minded who wants to own their market, grow a portfolio of clients and build a high-performing recruitment desk.

If you have already proven that you can generate business and make placements, we can provide the platform, support and prospect to take that further.

What You Will Be Doing

You will manage the complete 360 recruitment process across both business development and delivery.

This includes:

- Proactively developing new employer accounts

- Identifying companies with current and future recruitment needs

- Conducting outbound business development through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and meetings

- Building relationships with business owners, HR teams and hiring managers

- Winning exclusive and contingent recruitment assignments

- Taking detailed job briefs and understanding the commercial needs of each client

- Advising clients on candidate availability, salary expectations and market conditions





- Developing sourcing strategies for each vacancy

- Directly approaching passive candidates

- Searching SEEK, LinkedIn and internal databases

- Screening and interviewing candidates

- Presenting high-quality shortlists to clients

- Managing interview processes and feedback

- Negotiating offers, salaries and employment conditions

- Closing placements

- Reverse marketing strong candidates into suitable employers

- Growing existing accounts into long-term recruitment partnerships

- Maintaining a strong and active pipeline of clients, vacancies and candidates

- Working towards clear revenue and placement targets

This is a true 360 role.

You will be responsible for both creating opportunities and delivering results.

The Person We Want

We are looking for someone who has already worked successfully in an agency recruitment environment.

Ideally, you will have 3–5+ years of recruitment experience and can demonstrate a genuine history of:

- Business development

- Winning new clients

- Managing your own recruitment desk

- Building employer relationships

- Generating vacancies

- Candidate sourcing and headhunting





- Managing recruitment assignments from start to finish

- Negotiating recruitment fees and terms

- Closing offers

- Achieving billing targets

You should be comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers and confident enough to create opportunities rather than wait for them.

You will need to be:

- Commercially driven

- Confident on the phone

- Highly organised

- Persistent without being pushy

- Strong at building relationships

- Comfortable with targets

- Able to work independently

- Competitive and motivated by results

- Professional in front of both clients and candidates

We are not looking for someone who has only worked in internal recruitment or candidate coordination.

We are looking for someone who understands how an agency recruitment desk actually works.
