Emperor 3PL Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Container Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Hemmant, QLD 4174. In this role, you will operate specialised container handling equipment in a fast-paced logistics environment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods through our storage facility. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our high operational standards and contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities
Operate container forklifts and other heavy materials handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with all safety regulations and company procedures
Load, unload, and move containers to and from our truck fleet
Conduct pre-operation checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues immediately
Maintain accurate records of containers in yard in consultation with the operations team
Stack and arrange containers in designated storage areas, maximising space utilisation while adhering to safety requirements
Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
What we're looking for
Valid High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for container handling equipment. Forklift ticket a MUST, Reachstacker license advantageous but not essential
Proven experience as a forklift operator preferably in container handling
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices with a strong safety record
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a quick-paced environment
Valuable manual dexterity and spatial awareness for operating heavy equipment
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors
Reliability and punctuality, with a willingness to work as part of a rotating shift roster where required
