Senior Manager
- Financial Crimes Intelligence Hub
As our Senior Manager, Financial Crimes Intelligence Hub, you'll lead BOQ Group's internal intelligence capability, helping us identify emerging, hidden and evolving financial crime risks across AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scams. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a centre of excellence focused on understanding the threat landscape, assessing our exposure and turning intelligence into meaningful action that protects our customers, colleagues and business.
Working at the intersection of intelligence, analytics, risk and strategy, you'll lead a team responsible for uncovering risks that traditional controls may not yet detect. You'll bring together data, operational insights, industry intelligence and emerging typologies to help BOQ Group stay ahead of financial crime threats and strengthen our prevention, detection and response capabilities.
You'll collaborate with senior leaders across Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Data and Operations, while also engaging with industry bodies, regulators and intelligence partners. From leading strategic threat assessments and complex investigations to shaping future detection capabilities and capability uplift initiatives, your work will directly influence key risk and investment decisions across the Group.
What makes this role particularly exciting is the chance to help shape a growing capability within an organisation that is small enough to care and large enough to make a difference. If you're energised by solving complex problems, uncovering hidden risks and influencing enterprise-wide outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

About you
You're an experienced intelligence, financial crime or risk leader who knows that the best insights often come from asking the questions nobody else has thought to ask.
You bring deep expertise across financial crime, intelligence, investigations, AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, scams or related disciplines and have experience leading specialist teams in complex regulated environments. You know how to convert data, intelligence and emerging signals into practical actions that strengthen controls, reduce risk and improve outcomes.
You're naturally curious and thrive in ambiguity. Whether you're conducting threat assessments, developing new typologies, testing hypotheses or influencing senior stakeholders, you're comfortable working with incomplete information and applying sound judgement to build evidence-based recommendations.
You combine strong analytical capability with exceptional communication skills, allowing you to simplify complex issues and influence audiences ranging from operational teams through to executives and governance forums. You're equally comfortable diving into detailed analysis as you are presenting strategic insights and future risks.
Most importantly, you're a collaborative leader who develops people, encourages professional challenge and creates an environment where diverse perspectives are valued. You lead with integrity, curiosity and accountability, and you're passionate about helping organisations stay ahead of emerging threats w
