BHP in Perth offers a 2-year Fabrication Apprenticeship at FutureFit Academy. You will study in class and practice welding, metal cutting, and assembling to build equipment for mine sites.

The program leads to a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade and then you join a mine site workforce on a rotating roster; safety gear, physical work, and a requirement to live within 45 minutes of the Academy are part of the role.
