A global mining company has engaged CareerMode to recruit a Finance Manager to join its Brisbane office. Offering the opportunity to work within a global business, this position will suit a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to partner with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.

The role

Overseeing month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities

Providing financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making

Monitoring financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key business objectives

Maintaining robust financial controls, governance and compliance with relevant accounting standards

Partnering with operational and corporate stakeholders to support business performance

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting efficiencies

Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external stakeholders





About you

CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline

Background in mining, resources, energy or another asset-heavy industry (highly regarded)

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in a multinational or listed environment

Proven ability to lead teams and influence non-financial stakeholders

Advanced Excel and strong systems experience

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers into clear commercial recommendations
