We're seeking an entry-level Production Designer for an independent production, a corporate video profiling a recent Sydney-based startup. This project offers a fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio and gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic, professional setting. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing the visual aesthetic, including set dressing, prop sourcing, and overall art direction.
Key responsibilities
include collaborating with the director and cinematographer, developing mood boards, managing a small art department budget, and ensuring all visual elements align with the client's brand identity.
We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of visual storytelling, and a proactive attitude. Shoot dates are planned for 1-2 days in the second half of November 2026, with approximately 3 weeks of prep work starting in late October 2026. Prior experience on student films or short‑form content is a plus. Please submit a brief cover letter and any relevant portfolio work or a reel. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, dependent on experience and scope. We will provide all necessary production equipment and a dedicated art department budget.
