THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced drafter to take on design and drafting for our Australian and New Zealand projects. You will produce panel layouts and quantity take-offs, work closely with our experienced UK design team, and support sales, estimating and project delivery with accurate, buildable drawings. As the business grows, there is a transparent path to step up and lead the Australian design function.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare GRP formwork panel layouts and setout drawings from client and engineering drawings
- Produce accurate quantity take-offs to support estimating and quoting
- Work with the UK design team on design, detailing and drawing standards
- Prepare drawing packages and submittals for contractors and their engineers
- Support sales, estimating and project managers from tender through to delivery
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Solid drafting experience (typically 3+ years) in formwork and/or civil infrastructure - bridges, rail, marine or similar
- Experience with quantity take-offs
- Self-motivated and organised - able to manage your own workload remotely and communicate clearly online
- Relevant drafting qualification (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma in engineering drafting) or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft office capabilities – particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Right to work in Australia
DESIRABLE
- Allplan or other 3D modelling experience
- Experience with precast or permanent formwork systems
- Interest in growing into a lead role
