Bricktrans PL is seeking a HC Brick Truck Driver to join our transport and logistics team in Thomastown VIC 3074. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our distribution operations. As a HC Brick Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy combination vehicles to transport brick and building materials to customers across the region. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliable and timely delivery services in the manufacturing and construction materials sector.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy combination (HC) vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Transport bricks and building materials safely and efficiently to customer sites and distribution centres
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with legal requirements
- Load and unload cargo with care to prevent product damage and ensure proper weight distribution
- Navigate delivery routes effectively to meet scheduled delivery times and customer expectations
- Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff and dispatch teams
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and company protocols
- Report any vehicle defects or safety concerns immediately to management
What we're looking for
- Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience driving heavy combination vehicles
- Proven experience in bulk transport, distribution or warehousing environments
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and fatigue management laws
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Physical capability to assist with loading and unloading operations
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work
- Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with industry requirements
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
- Experience in the construction materials or brick transport industry (preferred)
