Banjo's Bakery Cafe is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Sales Assistants & Kitchen Staff to join our team at our Park Ridge location. What you'll be doing
As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service at the point of sale
Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system
Maintaining a clean, well-organised counter and display areas
Restocking shelves and displays with bakery items, beverages and retail products
Answering customer enquiries about our products and making recommendations
Handling cash and card payments with accuracy and integrity
As Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with food preparation under the guidance of experienced kitchen staff
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health and safety procedures
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and stocked with necessary supplies
Supporting the preparation and packaging of bakery items
Following recipes and preparation instructions accurately
What we're looking for
Previous retail or food service experience is advantageous but not essential
A friendly, outgoing personality with genuine passion for customer service
Reliability and the ability to work flexibly,
including potential weekend shifts
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems
A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one (preferred for kitchen roles)
