Our client is a global manufacturing business and a household name in its category, with a significant presence across Australia and the broader region. An opportunity has opened for a junior lawyer to join its lean in-house legal team in Melbourne.
This is a true generalist seat. You will work directly with the Head of Legal leading the function, giving you genuine exposure, quick feedback and a front row view of how a commercial legal team operates inside a global business.
The role
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, customer, services and procurement agreements
- Providing practical day to day advice to sales, operations, procurement and leadership teams
- Supporting regional matters, giving you cross border exposure early in your career
- Helping refine contract templates, processes and internal guidance
- Contributing to ad hoc advisory,
compliance and governance work as it arises
About you
- Admitted lawyer with approximately 1 to 3 years’ PQE, from private practice or in-house
- Solid commercial contracts grounding and an appetite for broad, varied work
- Practical, commercially minded and comfortable dealing directly with the business
- Organised, clear communicator who can juggle a busy workload
