Guide. Mentor. Empower. Support learning where it matters most - at the bedside.

As a Clinical Nurse/Midwife Facilitator, you'll play a key role in building the confidence, capability and clinical skills of graduate nurses and midwives, nursing and midwifery students, and EN cadets across the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN).

Working closely with Nurse Educators, you'll provide practical, at-elbow clinical support, guiding learners as they develop their skills and confidence in real clinical settings. You'll also support site preceptors, mentor less experienced staff and help foster a positive learning culture across the network.

The YNLHN Nursing and Midwifery Education Team is seeking a facilitator with perioperative experience for an ongoing specialist role, with a total of 0.32 FTE available. This capacity may be offered to one applicant or distributed across multiple appointments, potentially based across the three regional hubs.

Regardless of the appointment arrangement, travel across YNLHN will be required to support staff in perioperative settings, primarily at Port Pirie, Wallaroo and Clare Hospitals.

Clinical facilitation opportunities across the network also span general medical, surgical, aged care and rural nursing/multipurpose sites, with specialist expertise across areas including Emergency Department, Renal and Perioperative nursing.

Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate, with at least three years' full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
Demonstrated experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
