Part-Time Swim Teacher, Lifeguard & Duty Manager – Bundamba

JUST Lifestyle Centres operates aquatic and fitness facilities across the Ipswich and Somerset regions. We’re looking for reliable, versatile people to join our team in part-time roles based primarily at our Bundamba venue. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two shifts are the same. You’ll move between teaching, supervising the pool deck, and running the centre. It’s ideal for someone who wants consistent hours and a real pathway into aquatic leadership. What you’ll be doing School Swimming Deliver structured, safe and engaging swimming lessons to visiting school groups Manage group sizes and abilities confidently while keeping lessons fun and on track Learn to Swim Teach children and beginners of all ages and abilities to build water confidence and lifelong swimming skills Contribute to a positive, encouraging learning environment on the pool deck Lifeguard Keep patrons safe through active supervision of all pool areas Respond quickly and calmly to incidents and enforce pool safety rules in a friendly way Duty Manager Oversee the day-to-day running of the centre during your shift, including opening and closing Support and coordinate staff on shift, and be the go-to person for customers and incidents Handle customer enquiries, bookings and point-of-sale duties Make sure the facility is protected,



clean and running smoothly About you Current Pool Lifeguard qualification (or willingness to obtain one) AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one) Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), essential Weekend availability, essential Weekday school-hours availability for school swimming is highly regarded Duty management or supervisory experience is a bonus, but we’ll train the right person Strong communication skills, a calm head under pressure, and a friendly, customer-focused attitude A team player who takes safety seriously and enjoys working with children Part-time role with consistent, reliable hours Variety across teaching, lifeguarding and management, so you’re always building new skills Free Learn to Swim, gymnastics and gym membership Daily barista-made coffee A supportive, close-knit team that genuinely backs each other Real career pathways: our people have progressed into Duty Management and Facility Management roles
