We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Machinery Sales Representative to join The Wood Tech Group in Melbourne, VIC. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to represent our innovative machinery solutions to a diverse client base within the timber and woodworking industry. As a Machinery Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and establishing long-term relationships with key accounts. This role is fundamental to expanding our market presence and delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Key responsibilities:

Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities within the machinery and timber processing sectors

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their machinery requirements and business challenges

Present and demonstrate machinery solutions, highlighting technical specifications and operational benefits to potential customers

Prepare detailed quotations, proposals and sales documentation tailored to client needs

Negotiate terms and pricing to achieve sales targets whilst maintaining healthy profit margins

Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction

Conduct site visits and needs assessments to understand client operations and recommend suitable solutions

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and maintain competitive advantage

Maintain accurate records of client interactions,



sales pipelines and forecasting data using customer relationship management systems (HubSpot)

Achieve agreed sales targets and key performance indicators on a consistent basis

What we're looking for:

Proven track record in machinery or industrial equipment sales, ideally within the timber, woodworking or manufacturing sectors

Strong understanding of machinery specifications, technical features and operational applications

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders

Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets

Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills

Self-motivated and capable of working independently whilst collaborating effectively with internal teams

Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits

Experience within the timber or woodworking industry is highly desirable
