Lead character textures, materials and look development for an upcoming animated feature.
Location: Sydney, Australia
Contract and work arrangement: Full-time; hybrid with at least three days per week in the Sydney office.
What you will do
- Define character looks with design leadership and supervise surfacing reviews.
- Ensure assets integrate with rigging, CFX, animation and lighting.
- Improve tools and workflows and mentor surfacing artists.
What the studio is looking for
- Significant character surfacing/lookdev experience, including lead or supervisory work.
- A strong reel covering character materials and color.
- Mari, Substance and Maya proficiency plus up-to-date path-tracing renderer experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and production organization.
