Casual Landscape Labourer – Construction & Maintenance

Brisbane | 2–4 Days Per Week | Ongoing Casual Work | $35–$42/hr

Definition Landscape & Design is an established Brisbane landscaping company working on high-quality residential projects. Our team of 12 works across landscape design, construction and ongoing garden maintenance.

We’re looking for a

Casual Landscape Labourer

to support both our construction and garden maintenance teams.

No landscaping experience? No problem.

We’re more interested in finding someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. If you bring those things, we can help you develop the practical skills.

What You’ll Be Doing No two days are exactly the same. You’ll work alongside experienced landscapers across a mix of construction projects and established residential gardens.

The work can include:

Digging, excavation and general site preparation

Moving soil, mulch, gravel and building materials

Assisting with retaining walls, paving, concrete and drainage

Helping install irrigation and planting out gardens

Lawn care, mulching and general garden maintenance

Loading trailers and collecting materials

Keeping sites clean and organised

Setting up tools and equipment and helping the team get the job done

It’s hands-on, physical work outdoors, with plenty of variety between construction and maintenance.

Essential requirements

Current

manual driver’s licence

Full Australian working rights

Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one

Previous landscaping, construction, horticulture or labouring experience is a bonus, but isn’t essential. Experience towing trailers or using construction and landscaping equipment would also be an advantage.

Hours & Flexibility This is an ongoing casual role generally offering around

2–4 weekdays per week .

It could be particularly well suited to a

university student

looking for consistent work around their timetable, or someone with other commitments who doesn’t necessarily want a traditional five-day working week.

We can work around your availability to establish reasonably consistent working days. If you have greater availability during university breaks or at other times of the year, there may be opportunities to work additional days or potentially full weeks, depending on our workload.
