Job Description Townsville GP Superclinic is seeking a Casual Medical Receptionist for our busy General Practice on Charters Towers Road, Hyde Park. Previous Healthcare industry experience preferable, however hospitality Reception/Administration or Customer Service skills suit also. Roster shifts during clinic opening hours between 6.30am and 6pm and Thursdays can be rostered for our opening until 9.45pm. Flexibility is required. Additional shifts for some rotational weekends, hours between 8.30am and 6pm is also required.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and professional emails

Booking appointments on health-based software, assisting patients with enquiries and kiosk check in

Meeting and greeting clientele in a friendly manner

General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, following strict infection control requirements, stock take and restocking of supplies

Screening of presenting patient

Liaising with Allied Health and other service providers (specialists, aged care to assist with patient care management)

Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures

Dealing with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling,



over the phone and in person, including challenging situations

Filing, scanning, copying

Prospect to learn higher duties and to consider full time or part time

Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals
