Data Centres & Advisory | Advisor Melbourne The Opportunity Fyfe is growing its work across data centres and critical infrastructure, creating an opportunity for an electrical engineering professional to help deliver high-quality power solutions for hyperscale, enterprise and co-location projects. This role will provide technical advisory and engineering support across data centre power infrastructure. You'll contribute from early feasibility and concept design through to grid connection and delivery, working alongside electrical engineers, designers, project managers and external specialists. This is an opportunity to strengthen your specialist expertise while influencing real project outcomes. You'll work across grid connections, HV and LV systems, backup power and critical facility design, helping clients navigate the technical requirements behind reliable data centre infrastructure. The Impact You'll Have
• Shape data centre power solutions through feasibility studies, concept designs and techno-economic assessments.
• Support grid connection processes, including connection applications and engagement with Network Service Providers and AEMO.
• Develop technical reports, specifications and design documentation for HV/LV systems, backup power and critical power infrastructure.
• Contribute to load flow studies, power quality assessments and reliability analyses.
• Coordinate technical inputs across engineers, designers, contractors and external specialists to strengthen project delivery.
• Build trusted client relationships through responsive communication, technical workshops, site visits and high-quality advice. What You'll Bring
• You'll bring a solid grounding in electrical engineering and the curiosity to develop deeper expertise in data centre power infrastructure.
• A Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.




• Three to five years' experience in power systems, electrical engineering or data centre advisory.
• Knowledge of data centre power infrastructure, including UPS, generators, HV/LV switchgear and critical power systems.
• The ability to support technical advisory and engineering tasks independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting and client liaison.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accurate technical documentation, protected work practices and responsive client service
• It would be great if you also have familiarity with grid connection processes and AEMO or Network Service Provider requirements, experience with power system studies, or progress towards Chartered Professional Engineer status.
