The Role A technical treasury role at an ETF market maker: managing FX, cash, interest rates and funding across markets, and building the tools that do it. Based in Sydney, you’ll own FX risk, liquidity, interest rate and funding management across our global ETF market-making business. You’ll sit at the centre of a fast-moving trading operation, ensuring capital is deployed efficiently and the firm always has the liquidity it needs to make markets at scale. This is a hands-on role with real scope to build, including using Python and AI tools to automate and improve how treasury runs.

Key responsibilities
include:
• Monitoring, managing and hedging FX exposures arising from multi-currency trading, settlement and P&L;
• Developing and refining FX hedging strategies and execution processes
• Managing daily cash and collateral across currencies, prime brokers, custodians and clearing venues
• Forecasting intraday and overnight liquidity needs,



including margin requirements at exchanges and CCPs
• Ensuring the firm maintains sufficient liquidity buffers to support trading at all times
• Optimising returns on cash balances and managing interest rate exposure across the balance sheet
• Monitoring rate environments across jurisdictions and positioning funding accordingly
• Optimising funding costs and capital allocation across trading desks and legal entities
• Negotiating and managing relationships with banks, prime brokers and financing counterparties
• Supporting new market, product and entity launches from a funding and settlement perspective
• Building and improving treasury infrastructure, reporting and automation using Python
• Leveraging AI tools to streamline forecasting, reconciliation and reporting workflows. What You Will Bring
• 5+ years of treasury, funding or liquidity management experience, ideally at a trading firm, market maker, hedge fund or prime brokerage
• Strong understanding of FX markets, money markets, and margin and collateral frameworks
• Proficiency in Python and comfort working with data; experience applying AI tools to finance workflows is a robust plus
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to build processes from scratch in a lean, fast-paced environment
