Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role for a Flooring Sales Specialist based in Cannington, WA, with some flexibility to work from home. The Flooring Sales Specialist will greet and assist customers in the showroom, assess their needs, and recommend suitable flooring products and solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing quotes, following up on leads, managing order paperwork, and coordinating with installation teams to ensure accurate job scheduling. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, updating displays, and supporting basic administrative tasks related to sales and customer service. The specialist will communicate regularly with suppliers and internal staff to ensure stock availability, timely delivery,



and a smooth customer experience from inquiry to installation. Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in retail or B2C sales, ideally in flooring, building materials, or home improvement.
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and provide clear, practical advice.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail for measuring spaces, preparing accurate quotes, and reviewing invoices.
• Comfort with using point-of-sale systems, email, and standard office software to manage leads, orders, and customer records.
• Ability to work both onsite in Cannington and from home, managing time effectively and following through on customer commitments.
• Solid communication skills and the capacity to build rapport with a diverse range of customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn about different flooring products, installation methods, and care requirements, and to keep product knowledge up to date.
• Physical ability to move around the showroom and safely handle flooring samples as required.
