About The Role
Behind every successful health placement is a well-organised process that helps students meet the requirements to learn and gain experience in real healthcare settings. As a Health Placement Compliance Officer at Swinburne, you’ll play an important role in helping students get placement-ready and supporting the smooth delivery of accredited health programs. Working closely with the Health Placement team, you’ll coordinate and monitor student compliance requirements, with a particular focus on Nursing placements. This includes checking and recording essential documentation such as police checks, Working with Children Checks, vaccination records and other mandatory placement requirements. You’ll manage large volumes of student information, maintain accurate records across placement management systems, and follow up with students to help them understand and complete outstanding requirements. With plenty of phone contact and opportunities to work with academic staff, healthcare partners and other stakeholders, you’ll help keep placement activities on track and ensure students are ready to commence their placements. This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys organised, detail-focused work, solving problems and helping others navigate important processes. While experience in health placements is an advantage, strong administration skills, accuracy and a willingness to learn are just as important. About You You’re organised, proactive and comfortable working with detailed information. You enjoy keeping things running smoothly, can manage repetitive tasks without losing sight of the details, and know when to use your initiative to resolve an issue or seek further advice. You’ll also bring:
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities, respond to time-sensitive requests and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with large volumes of data, maintaining accurate records and completing data entry.
• Well-developed computer skills, particularly across Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience using databases or other information management systems.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills,

including a willingness to speak with students by phone and handle sensitive information with tact, professionalism and discretion.
• A cooperative and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels while also taking ownership of your own work.
• The ability to think critically, use initiative and identify practical solutions when working through compliance requirements or resolving discrepancies. Experience coordinating health placement processes or administering mandatory student compliance requirements would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. Qualifications Completion of a bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant executive administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
