Workshop and Client Sites – Queensland M-Tech On-Site Machining & Maintenance Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to undertake mechanical maintenance, equipment repairs, installations and shutdown activities across mining and heavy industrial operations. The role involves providing hands-on mechanical expertise to ensure the protected, reliable and efficient operation of fixed plant and associated mechanical equipment. Working both independently and within site-based maintenance teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, and supporting on-site machining and mechanical repair activities. operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs
• Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, crushers, screens, bearings, couplings and associated equipment.
• Undertake mechanical disassembly, inspection, refurbishment and reassembly of plant components.
• Conduct precision measurements, alignment and mechanical adjustments to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform bearing replacements, shaft repairs, coupling installations and equipment change-outs.
• Identify equipment defects, mechanical failures and potential reliability issues.
• Assist with fault finding and root cause analysis to minimise equipment downtime.
