Job Details:

Locum doctor required for Launceston, TAS.

DATES: ASAP - ongoing locum opportunities available, with additional vacancies at a new clinic commencing December 2026
RATE: Approximately $1,500 per day, negotiable depending on the doctor's requirements and mutual agreement
DAYS & HOURS: Flexible working arrangements, with full-time or part-time sessions open to discussion.

CURRENT CLINIC OPERATING HOURS:

- Monday to Friday: 8:00am-8:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am-5:00pm

NEW CLINIC OPERATING HOURS: Monday to Friday, with session times to be discussed
APPOINTMENTS: Adaptable consultation lengths, tailored to the doctor's preference
ACCOMMODATION: Furnished 2-bedroom unit available
FLIGHTS & VEHICLE: Assistance may be arranged, subject to discussion
SOFTWARE: Best Practice
PRACTICE SUPPORT: Experienced GPs, GP Registrars and full nursing support
DUTIES: General Practice consultations only. No VMO or aged care responsibilities required.

Ongoing locum opportunity in Launceston offering flexible working hours and negotiable remuneration. Doctors will have the option to work across two medical practices located less than 10 minutes apart, with opportunities at the new clinic commencing December 2026. The practices offer experienced GP and nursing support, furnished accommodation, and potential assistance with travel and vehicle arrangements.

Requirements:

- FRACGP/FACRRM or Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Medical indemnity insurance up to date
- WWCC
- References to be provided
