MTE is looking for experienced, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters for a workshop-based role in Edinburgh, SA.
We offer consistent work with a well equipped and multi trade workshop, allowing potential growth and training in other areas. We cater to our client’s needs with local site-based projects as well as FIFO/DIDO opportunities and pride ourselves on being flexible and mobile when the need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Fitters at MTE carry out a broad scope of work, from rebuild and refurbishment of critical plant, to assembly and delivery of new infrastructure as well as working closely with our Poly department in the civil and water sector.
· Read and interpret technical drawings and Isometrics.
· Fault find mechanical plant and equipment.
· Manual machining on lathes and mills.
· Fit out, alignment and assembly of new equipment to exact dimensions.
· Site based project work either local or FIFO / DIDO depending on location.
· Working alongside Poly Welders and Boilermakers on SMP works.
· Refurbishment of critical plant to high standards.
· Maintaining job scope and timelines.
· Safely and correctly operating and maintaining plant,
equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications:
· Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Required)
· Driver license LV (Required)
· Working at Heights, White Card and Confined Space (Preferred)
· Dogging / Rigging (Preferred)
· Forklift, EWP SL / BL, HR license (Preferred)
· First Aid training (Preferred)
