Financial Reporting Accountant – ASX‑Listed Group High‑Performing Environment | Complex Reporting | Strong Systems Experience Valued

Our client is a Sydney‑headquartered ASX‑listed organisation with an excellent reputation across Australia and internationally. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a technically strong Financial Reporting Accountant with a background in business services, Big 4, or a complex corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly fund and financial reporting packs, including variance analysis, performance commentary and insights for Board, Executive and stakeholder reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end reporting activities, including group consolidation processes across multiple entities and investment structures.
- Prepare statutory financial statements (half-year and full-year) in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, regulatory requirements and corporate reporting obligations.
- Manage tax compliance obligations, including BAS, income tax, FBT and payroll tax reporting.
- Review accounting and fund accounting outputs to ensure accuracy, compliance and alignment with financial reporting standards and internal policies.
- Support group consolidation activities,



including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and maintenance of consolidated reporting frameworks.
- Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements, including documentation, workflow optimisation and integration into broader finance and reporting functions.
- Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks through the enhancement of processes, risk management practices and key internal controls.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial, fund and management reporting within strict deadlines.
- Prepare monthly drawdown, treasury and funding reports, liaising with financiers and stakeholders to support capital management requirements.

Skills & Experience
You will likely come from a financial services, financial services, Big 4/business services, environment and bring a mix of the following:

- CA / CPA qualified (or close to completion).
- Strong technical accounting and financial statement preparation experience.
- Exposure to FS, funds, or complex multi‑entity environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders.
- Must have 2 year plus post qualified big 4 commerical experience
- A collaborative team mindset and the ability to thrive under deadlines.
- Systems‑savvy, with experience in process improvement or system enhancements highly regarded.
