We are seeking an experienced Superintendent Technical Services to lead and manage the Technical Services function across our Wiluna Operations.

This is a senior leadership position overseeing Geology, Pit Technicians, Mine Engineering, Survey and Laboratory, ensuring these disciplines operate as one integrated function to support safe, efficient and optimised mining operations.

You will play a key role in driving technical excellence across mine planning, grade control, ore recovery, reconciliation, survey, geological modelling and laboratory performance, while working closely with operational leadership to deliver production objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the multidisciplinary Technical Services team across Geology, Engineering, Survey, Pit Technicians and Laboratory.

- Provide strong safety, technical and operational leadership across the function.

- Oversee geology, resource definition, geological modelling, grade control and ore/waste delineation.

- Lead mine engineering, short-term planning, mine design and production scheduling.

- Ensure survey services provide accurate and timely information to support mining and infrastructure activities.

- Provide functional oversight of laboratory operations, QA/QC and analytical performance.

- Lead reconciliation across geology, survey, engineering, mining and laboratory functions.

- Monitor performance against plan and identify opportunities to improve productivity, ore recovery, dilution, utilisation and costs.

- Manage Technical Services budgets, resourcing, contractors, consultants, systems and equipment.

- Develop technical personnel through performance management, capability development and succession planning.

- Drive continuous improvement across technical systems, processes, data quality and operational performance.

- Work closely with the General Manager and Mining, Crushing & Screening and other operational teams to ensure technical activities support site objectives.

About You





You will be an experienced technical mining leader with a strong background in open pit mining and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary Technical Services function.

You will bring:

- Significant technical experience within open pit mining operations.

- Demonstrated leadership and management experience within Geology and/or Technical Services.

- Strong experience in grade control, resource definition and geological modelling.

- Strong understanding of mine planning, production scheduling and operational mining processes.

- Proven experience with mine reconciliation, ore recovery, dilution and ore loss.

- Experience leading and developing technical professionals.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience working collaboratively with operational teams to achieve production outcomes.

- Budget, cost and contractor management experience will be highly regarded.

- Experience across engineering, survey and laboratory interfaces is desirable.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Geology or equivalent tertiary qualification (required).

- Bachelor of Mining Engineering will also be highly regarded.

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

- Valid Australian Working Rights.

- Ability to work on a FIFO roster.

- Ability to satisfy site medical, drug and alcohol testing and fitness-for-work requirements.

- Relevant statutory supervisor training/appointment, First Aid, ICAM or leadership qualifications will be highly regarded.

- Qualified membership with a recognised mining industry body is desirable.
