The Shire of Mt Marshall is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Grader Operator to join our Engineering Services team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and enjoys contributing to road safety and local infrastructure.
As part of our Works crew, you will carry out road construction and maintenance across the Shire. Your primary responsibility will be operating one of the Shire’s articulated maintenance graders to maintain our unsealed road network, along with other plant as required. The role also involves drainage work, waste management support, and general laboring duties when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
•Complete road construction and maintenance tasks to a high standard
•Operate plant safely and efficiently, including grader, loader, roller, and HR vehicles
•Carry out daily maintenance checks on equipment
•Follow instructions and report quality or safety concerns promptly
•Support other Shire works, including drainage and waste operations
•Attend emergency call-outs when required
•Contribute positively to the team and support solid customer service
What You’ll Bring
•Strong plant operation and basic maintenance skills
•Experience with earthmoving equipment
•Understanding of safe work practices and procedures
•Ability to work within timeframes and follow directions
•Team-focused approach
•Experience in municipal works such as roads, drainage, or landfill
•HR class driver’s licence and White Card (essential)
