Skillforce Recruitment is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers for upcoming shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and construction projects across Western Australia.

We're looking for skilled, safety-conscious personnel with experience across the mining, construction and resources sectors. Opportunities are available for operators experienced with everything from 25T Franna cranes through to 300T All Terrain cranes, along with qualified Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Riggers.

About the Roles

Working alongside established maintenance and construction crews, you'll be involved in a range of lifting, rigging and installation activities across major mine sites and industrial projects.

Crane Operators

- Operating Franna, Slew and All Terrain cranes across various capacities.
- Performing lifting operations for shutdown maintenance, construction and plant installations.
- Positioning and relocating structural, mechanical and fixed plant components.
- Working closely with rigging crews to coordinate safe and productive lifts.
- Conducting pre-start inspections and following site-specific lifting procedures.
- Assisting with equipment installation, removal and maintenance activities.

Riggers

- Carrying out rigging and lifting operations across shutdowns and construction projects.
- Selecting, inspecting and preparing lifting gear and rigging equipment.
- Installation and removal of structural steel, mechanical equipment and fixed plant components.
- Assisting with crane lifts, load positioning and equipment movement.
- Working alongside crane operators, maintenance crews and other trades.
- Following lift plans, safe work procedures and site requirements.

What We're Looking For To be considered, you'll ideally have:

- Relevant High Risk Work Licence for the position:





- Crane Operators: CN, C2, C6, C1 or CO.
- Riggers: RB, RI or RA.

- Previous experience in mining, shutdowns, maintenance or construction.
- Relevant crane VOCs and demonstrated operating competency where applicable.
- Construction White Card.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, site safety and safe work procedures.
- Flexibility to work FIFO rosters and varying shutdown durations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

Highly Regarded:

- Rio Tinto crane VOCs.
- Previous FMG, BHP or Rio Tinto site experience.
- Existing site inductions, Pegasus ID or relevant site identification.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets.
- Gas Testing Atmospheres and Basic Fire training.
- HR or HC Driver's Licence.
- Multiple crane, rigging or dogging competencies.

Applicants do not need to hold every ticket listed. Requirements will vary depending on the position, equipment and site.
