Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, hardware, and software used by internal teams. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring network performance, managing user accounts and permissions, installing and updating systems, and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. The Information Technology Specialist will implement and maintain network security measures, perform regular backups, and ensure systems comply with best practices and company policies.



The role also involves providing responsive, clear technical support to staff, documenting solutions, and collaborating with other stakeholders to improve IT processes and reliability. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Information Technology with practical experience supporting business systems and applications.
• Hands-on skills in Network Administration, including configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network devices and services.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues using structured diagnostic approaches.
• Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices, including firewalls, access control, and data protection.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and respectfully to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS), cloud services, and common business productivity tools.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work both independently and as part of a team, and manage responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft or Cisco certifications) or equivalent experience are beneficial.
