Your role What You'll Be Doing What We Need Corpay Cross-Border is seeking a highly credible regulatory-finance leader to strengthen our financial and regulatory reporting capability across APAC. This is a newly created leadership role with an immediate and important priority: acting as our in-house subject matter expert on the Australian regulatory-finance requirements that apply to AFSL holders. You will provide practical, commercially minded advice on ASIC expectations, financial-resource and liquidity requirements, client money obligations, regulatory reporting and financial governance. While the role also carries oversight of financial reporting, controllership and reporting transformation across the region, we are particularly interested in people with deep ASIC and AFSL regulatory-finance expertise. If your experience is strongest in this area, we would welcome a conversation. How We Work As the Director of APAC Financial & Regulatory Reporting, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
• Assigned workspace in the Sydney office
• Company-issued equipment Role Responsibilities Reporting into Finance and working closely with APAC leadership, Regulatory Compliance, auditors and external stakeholders, you will help build a scalable, well-controlled reporting function for a growing cross-border payments business. You will be trusted to interpret complex requirements, identify and remediate control gaps, lead regulatory submissions and ensure the business has the financial governance, documentation and reporting discipline needed to operate confidently in a regulated environment. This is not a traditional financial controller role, nor is it a pure compliance role. It is a senior role for someone who understands the intersection of regulatory obligations, financial reporting, liquidity, client money and operational governance
- and can translate those requirements into practical action. Additional Responsibilities Of The Role Will Include
• Act as the regional subject matter expert on ASIC requirements relevant to AFSL holders, including financial-resource requirements, liquidity and cash requirements, client money obligations, regulatory reporting and related governance.
• Lead and oversee regulatory-finance reporting, ensuring submissions, supporting documentation and controls are accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
• Advise senior leaders, Finance, Compliance and operational stakeholders on the financial implications of regulatory requirements, business changes and emerging issues.
• Strengthen the region’s regulatory-finance framework, including policies, processes, controls, governance forums and evidence of compliance.
• Own or lead engagement with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders on regulatory-finance matters, audits, reviews and remediation activity.
• Oversee key elements of financial reporting, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, statutory reporting and group reporting requirements.
• Provide leadership across controllership,

internal controls and SOX-related reporting activities, working closely with the broader global Finance team.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, automate manual processes, strengthen controls and build a capability that can scale with the business.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, creating clarity, accountability and strong technical standards. Qualifications & Skills We are looking for someone with substantial experience in regulatory finance, regulatory reporting, controllership or financial reporting within a regulated financial-services environment. Most Importantly, You Will Bring
• Deep, practical knowledge of ASIC requirements relevant to AFSL holders.
• Direct experience interpreting and applying financial-resource, liquidity, cash and client money requirements.
• Experience preparing, reviewing or overseeing Australian regulatory returns and related supporting documentation.
• Confidence engaging with regulators, auditors, senior executives and internal compliance or risk teams.
• The judgement to interpret requirements thoughtfully and turn them into clear, workable controls and processes.
• Experience operating in financial services, payments, fintech, foreign exchange or another closely regulated environment.
• Strong leadership capability, with the ability to develop teams and influence across a complex, distributed organisation.
• A continuous-improvement mindset and a genuine interest in strengthening governance, controls, reporting quality and automation. Experience with Singapore (MAS) and Hong Kong (SFC) regulatory frameworks would be valuable but is not essential. Likewise, broad financial-reporting experience
- including IFRS, US GAAP, statutory reporting and SOX controls
- will be highly regarded. A CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred, particularly for candidates whose experience is weighted toward financial reporting and controllership. However, we are open to an exceptional regulatory-finance specialist whose experience is most relevant to the ASIC and AFSL requirements at the heart of this role.
