(To work a minimum of 3-4 days a week) We're a specialist planning, environment and local government law firm working with councils, developers, consultants and private clients across some of the most interesting matters in NSW. We're serious about the work we do. We're just not particularly interested in doing law firm life the way it's always been done. THE ROLE You'll work closely with our lawyers and play a genuine role in keeping matters moving. That could mean:
• Preparing court documents, hearing materials and briefs to counsel
• Assisting with chronologies, matter summaries and legal research
• Drafting routine correspondence and court documents
• Liaising with clients, courts, councils, barristers and consultants
• Managing matter files, deadlines and key dates
• Helping the team prepare for hearings and court
• Thinking ahead and spotting what needs to happen next There is administration. Of course there is. But we believe junior people should be trusted to think, not just to do. You'll be encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas and understand the matters you're working on. You'll get exposure early, with experienced lawyers around you to provide support when you need it. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You don't need to know everything.
