Site Manager – Fitout & Refurbishment

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager – Fitout & Refurbishment to join a well known fitout specialist in their Queensland team, delivering commercial fitout and refurbishment projects across Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects, building strong relationships with subcontractors and clients, and maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality and programme management.

You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day delivery of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site personnel and deliveries.
- Drive construction programmes and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of site safety, quality control and housekeeping.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety inspections.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all works comply with specifications and relevant standards.
- Liaise with clients, consultants,



project managers and building management teams.
- Identify and resolve in office issues proactively to minimise delays and disruption.
- Manage defects, inspections, handovers and project close-out activities.
- Ensure works are delivered within agreed timeframes and project requirements.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial fitout and refurbishment projects.
- A strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination and site logistics.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and programme management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities.
- The confidence to take ownership of site operations and drive project outcomes.
- Relevant construction qualifications, licences and current safety certifications.

Experience working in live environments, including occupied commercial buildings, offices or retail spaces, would be highly regarded.
