About Childhood Cancer Support
For 50 years, Childhood Cancer Support has been dedicated to supporting families affected by childhood cancer. As a not-for-profit organisation, we provide vital accommodation, transport, and support services to regional families navigating the challenging journey of paediatric oncology treatment. Our mission is to create a positive community where families can find comfort, togetherness, and compassion during their most difficult times.
Through our range of programs and services, including accommodation assistance, patient transport, family support programs, and community events, we remain committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families.
Childhood Cancer Support provides family styled units which are suitable for long-term stays whilst a child is being treated for cancer at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Our units range from 1-3 bedrooms, and we are currently undertaking a capital campaign to build more family-styled accommodation for our families in East Brisbane, so families are closer to the medical care they require for their child.
Additionally, we provide short-term accommodation for families when they are required to return to Brisbane to medical check-ups for their child.
