Kewdale

Own your territory. Build relationships. Drive growth.

Are you a motivated B2B sales professional who thrives on getting out in the field, building relationships and turning opportunities into results? ATOM is looking for a commercially driven Territory Manager to join our Kewdale sales team. This is a predominantly field-based role where you'll take ownership of your territory, develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers across Perth's industrial, mining, construction and commercial sectors. You'll also work closely with our National Strategic Account Managers (NSAMs), supporting the growth and development of key strategic customers through regular site engagement, identifying opportunities and ensuring strong local account execution. If you're someone who enjoys being in front of customers, uncovering opportunities and driving profitable growth, we'd love to hear from you.

About ATOM

ATOM is one of Australia's fastest-growing distributors of industrial and safety products, supporting businesses across the country with everything from PPE, workwear and tools to engineering, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies. We help keep Australian industry moving by delivering practical product solutions, reliable service and strong customer partnerships.

The Opportunity

As a Territory Manager, you'll be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across your assigned territory through a combination of new business development, existing customer engagement and strategic account support. You'll work closely with NSAMs to understand national account strategies, identify local opportunities and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders at site level. Backed by our internal sales, purchasing, supply chain and operations teams, you'll focus on what you do best — getting in front of customers, understanding their businesses and converting opportunities into profitable sales. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, plans their territory effectively and enjoys being accountable for results.

What You'll Be Doing

Territory Growth & Business Development

- Manage and grow an assigned territory, achieving agreed sales, gross profit and margin targets.

- Identify, prospect and convert new business opportunities across industrial, mining, construction and commercial customers.

- Build strong relationships with decision-makers across procurement, operations, maintenance and site management.

- Identify opportunities through cross-selling, upselling, product consolidation and solution selling.

- Develop territory plans and structured customer call cycles to maximise engagement and growth.

- Conduct regular customer and site visits to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships and support retention.

Strategic Account Collaboration

- Work closely with National Strategic Account Managers to support the execution of national account strategies at a local level.

- Develop relationships with site-level stakeholders across aligned strategic accounts.

- Identify and communicate growth opportunities, customer requirements and competitor activity to the relevant NSAM.

- Support customer onboarding, site engagement, product trials, account reviews and strategic initiatives.

- Collaborate with NSAMs and internal teams to ensure consistent customer service, commercial alignment and account development.

Customer Engagement & Commercial Execution

- Take ownership of customer relationships and coordinate with internal teams to ensure agreed customer actions are delivered.

- Work collaboratively with Internal Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Operations to support quotation turnaround, stock availability, DIFOT and customer service outcomes.

- Support tenders, pricing reviews, product alignment and customer-specific supply solutions.

- Proactively identify customer challenges and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.

- Maintain strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure opportunities and service concerns are followed through to resolution.

Sales Planning, CRM & Reporting

- Maintain a structured territory call plan, with clear objectives and follow-up actions.

- Develop and manage an active sales pipeline, progressing opportunities through to conversion.

- Record customer visits, opportunities, meetings and agreed actions accurately in HubSpot.

- Use sales, margin and customer data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.

- Provide regular updates on territory performance,

pipeline activity and key customer developments.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is proactive, commercially minded and confident building relationships in the field. Ideally, you'll bring:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in B2B sales, territory management, account management or business development.

- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and convert them into sales.

- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence engaging with customers at all levels.

- Commercial understanding of revenue, gross profit, margins and value-based selling.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

- Strong organisation, time management and territory planning capability.

- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and take accountability for results.

- Experience using CRM systems, with HubSpot experience highly regarded.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems.

- A current Australian driver's licence.

Experience in industrial supplies, mining, construction, safety, engineering or technical products will be highly regarded.

Working Arrangements

This is a predominantly field-based position, with an expectation of four days per week engaging with customers and dedicated office time for planning, reporting, collaboration and internal meetings. You'll work closely with the Kewdale sales team and National Strategic Account Managers to ensure solid communication, coordinated customer engagement and successful execution of sales opportunities.
