Flexible Hours & Conditions

We understand everyone's circumstances are different, and we're happy to tailor an arrangement that works for both you and the practice. Options include:

- 37.5-hour work week, with Fridays working from home.

- Four-day week (30 hours per week) with a pro-rata salary.

- Other similar and mutually suitable arrangements.

Great Clients & Interesting Work

We work with small to medium-sized businesses, mostly companies and trusts, plus around 60 SMSFs. Our client base is strong and established: roughly 80% turn over more than $500,000 annually, most sitting between $1 million and $3 million, with around 20% exceeding $3 million.

We're not reliant on any single industry, and we take a selective approach to clients, so you'll be working with businesses we genuinely enjoy partnering with. You'll primarily handle companies, trusts and SMSFs, with no individual tax returns or sole traders (unless linked to a larger client group) and minimal partnership work.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, sole traders and SMSFs.





- Preparation of interim accounts in Xero and MYOB for BAS lodgements.

- Pre-June reviews and tax planning advice in liaison with the Principal.

- Preparation of FBT returns.

- NSW payroll tax reconciliations and lodgements.

- Organising and providing financial statements for financing facilities.

- Quarterly management accounting and KPI reporting for selected key clients.

- Embracing software advancements and technology to assist with the continual improvement and refinement of accounting processes.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

- Accounting degree.

- CPA, CA or similar qualification, or currently working towards one.

Experience Required

- Minimum four years' experience in Australian accounting and tax public practice.

- Experience in a client-facing role.

- Experience with the software packages listed below is preferred.

- Xero – our most commonly used client bookkeeping software.

- MYOB – still used by approximately 25–30% of our clients.

- Xero Practice Manager (XPM).

- Xero Ledger and Xero Tax – for financial statements and tax returns.

- BGL – for SMSF software.
