Description Senior Community Infrastructure PlannerReference number: 11219Closing date: 11:00pm, Tuesday 4 August 2026* Full-time permanent role (1 FTE)* Band 7 – salary commencing from $112,111 per annum + 12% superannuation(commensurate with experience)* Monthly RDO available* Hybrid working arrangements availableThe OpportunityReporting to the Activity Centre and Economic Development Coordinator, you willplay a key role in shaping the future of community infrastructure across MooneeValley through strategic planning, evidence-based analysis and collaborativeproject delivery.This is an exciting chance for an experienced planner who enjoys solvingcomplex challenges, working across diverse stakeholders and influencinglong-term investment in community facilities.Key Responsibilities* Undertake community infrastructure planning and needs analysis to informfuture community facility provision.* Develop evidence-based business cases and identify innovative solutions forcommunity infrastructure projects.* Maintain and analyse data to support strategic planning,



asset management andinvestment decisions.* Provide specialist advice on community infrastructure planning acrossCouncil.* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders,government agencies, service providers and the community.* Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of community facilities to informrenewal, upgrade and future planning.* Supervise and support the Community Infrastructure Planner.Skills & Experience* Degree or postgraduate qualification in Strategic Planning, Social Sciencesor a related discipline, or extensive experience in community infrastructureplanning.* Demonstrated experience in strategic community infrastructure planning,policy development and needs analysis.* Experience developing business cases and delivering complex projects.* Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.* Knowledge of asset management principles and community infrastructureplanning within a local government environment is highly regarded.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Next StepsApplications must be submitted through our online system and should be in linewith the Moonee Valley City Council Application Guide.
